Jelly is brilliant fun, pretty easy, and slide down your throat to clean your palate. Theo loves these, and the best part is that they are sugar free. The flavour isn’t great if I’m honest, but for small persons that isn’t always a bad thing, ginger can be a very strong flavour. These are really refreshing after a hot curry, or as a ‘I wan’t something but can’t think what’ kind of snack. Great for dieting!7
You can experiment with this and make lots of different flavours, sugar free drinks are really good for this.
For this you’ll need…
- 4 gelatin leaves
- 400ml sugar free ginger beer
- 1 tsp ginger extract
- 2 ramekins
- Soak the gelatin leaves in cold water for 5 minutes until they become soft and squidgy (technical term). Pour your ginger beer and ginger extract into a small pan.
- Once the gelatin is ready to use, put in the pan, and place on a low heat until it has dissolved in the beer. Once it is thoroughly combined, the mixture will have a slightly silky taste. Once combined, pour into the ramekins and put in the fridge to chill for two hours.
